A student of life, a nerd and a cynic.
I build software for a living and take satisfaction in learning and building new things. When I’m not engineering, I like to spend time with my family, watch movies and listen to music.
I believe in learning by doing, so I run a homelab where I experiment with new things. It consists of a data node (TrueNAS SCALE), a Proxmox server and an OPNsense router. Proxmox lets me spin up new VMs and LXCs quickly and makes it easy to back up and manage those services. I run most of my services on a Debian 13 VM running Docker.
I’m interested in software design, cryptography, security and LLMs, among other things.
The name of this blog “its the journey” represents the idea that the struggle IS the reward. The experience we gain, the friends we make, the things we learn are far valuable that whatever it is we are trying to achieve.
